About Shahid Rajaee Prison

The Shahid Rajaee Port Special Economic Zone, located 23 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, north of Qeshm Island and the Strait of Hormuz, handles nearly half of Iran’s trade through its maritime connections and cargo exchanges with 80 renowned international ports.

Strategically situated at the heart of the North–South Transit Corridor—one of the world’s most significant international transit routes—the port links the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf, via Iran, to the Caspian Sea and subsequently through Russia to St. Petersburg and Northern Europe.

Its prime geographical location, direct access to open waters, integration with the international railway network and the Silk Road, advanced equipment, and proximity to the free zones of Kish and Qeshm have made this port complex a strategic logistics hub.

In addition, the availability of support lands for allocation to investors—dedicated to auxiliary, industrial, oil, and service-related activities—under BOT contracts as well as short-, medium-, and long-term leases, further enhances the unique potential of this special economic zone.
